In April 2010, the Ethos Foundation will launch the Scenic Rim Region’s own community and business sustainability website in partnership with Scenic Rim Regional Council.
During early 2010, Council and Ethos have worked closely together to design and develop Sustainable Scenic Rim, the region’s own sustainability website for households, businesses, communities and schools and young people.

The site is very interactive and includes blogs, videos, a business and community directory, latest news, and an events diary as well as loads of sustainability information and links.
The site:

  • Maps, connects and synergises sustainability activities, organisations and people in the Scenic Rim
  • Aims to inspire and activate Scenic Rim residents and businesses
  • Showcases sustainability in the region and beyond
  • Links with related initiatives in the Scenic Rim including ecotourism, local living economy, arts and culture and so on

The Ethos Foundation now offers a service to local governments and communities to collaboratively design and develop community sustainability websites. Our team of Emily Pearce (web design) and Sally MacKinnon (research and copywriting) also developed and coordinate the Beechmont Community Website: www.beechmont.org.au
