Singing in Fiji May 24 -June 1 2008 - With Rachel Hore
Join me for a really wonderful week of singing. This course is filling fast, so get in quick.
The course takes place in Savu Savu on Fiji’s northern island of Vanua Levu – a 50-minute plane ride from Nadi. Like many other areas in Fiji, it has some wonderful choirs. We will be visiting local villages to hear them sing, to learn some of their own traditional songs and to join with them in singing hymns.
There is a singing session every morning led by me (a range of beautiful songs, some original, with some funky new arrangements) and in the afternoons there's time just to relax, go snorkeling amongst the amazing reefs, shopping in the village, hiking and swimming. In the evenings we’ll come together for informal singing in the bures or on the beach.
The organiser is Delia Rothnie-Jones. She and her husband John own Daku Resort, where we’ll stay. If you want to stay on after the course, ask Delia and she can arrange it.
